Entrance - Centre of Expertise Energy contributes as a learning, practice-oriented knowledge community to a clean, renewable and affordable energy supply. Scientists, students, businesses and authorities all come together at our centre of expertise to share knowledge. With our motto 'People in Power' we develop the innovations that are much needed for the energy transition and strengthen the regional knowledge economy.
The interdisciplinary energy research at Entrance brings new ideas from academic research to society. Our activities therefore focus to transfer innovations from TRL 4 to TRL7 by involving all stakeholders.
Project examples:
- Hydrohub Test Centre (HHTC): These are test facilities for 2 electrolyser systems: Alkaline and PEM up to 250kW each. This project offers R&D activities for third parties, operator training, and academic research programs. HHTC is run together with TNO and ISPT.
- HyPRO: provides a platform for research focused on making hydrogen production more sustainable, by advancing electrolysis technology and plasma technology. In the process, it will contribute significantly to advancing electrolysis technology. This approach will allow HyPRO to drive down the cost of green hydrogen and scale up production. HyPRO is is part of the overarching national growth fund programme, GroenvermogenNL.
- H2Cove: The main goal of H2CoVE is to equip the European labour market with the necessary professional skills for industries in the hydrogen economy. Five regions, Vestland in Norway, Northern Netherlands, Tyrol in Austria, Estonia, and the Precarpathian region in Ukraine, are pooling their knowledge and expertise to build local skills ecosystems.
